Mr. Remme - a man of great patience and morals. He commanded respect, as it should have been. Our families were close since Dad was a teacher as well. My condolences to the entire Remme family. Mr. Remme was one of those transformational educators who genuinely cared for his students and was tireless in his commitment to making them better. I spent a little time in his office for the occasional mis-step. He was always firm, fair and honest. The message that he was trying to get across to me was: "Mr. Alberts, you are better than that." While at the time it may have been lost on me, I can honestly say that message has been critical in my personal and professional life and I now use that theme with my own kids. No man is perfect, but I always contended that Mr. Remme was pretty darn close.

Many great memories - including fishing (summer and winter) at Lake Ida in Alexandria and looking up on the roof of the house as all the guys were helping put on new shingles! Where do I begin-I truly had a lot of respect for MR. REMME. He was my shop teacher at Melvin Community School. From there he was my high school Principal-even though I made a few trips down to the office, I believed he was fair. One time he told me, this will hurt me just as much as you! From there we were members of the same church in Melvin. He was our President (leader) for our group of Aid to Lutherans. He was just a joy to be around, I always felt he took time to talk or help an individual. Lucky me for being able to have him as one of the best mentors I had.
