Wilma and I were friends at Delmont High School. We were members of the High School band. Wilma played bass drum, I played the snare drum. She had a wonderful sense of humor. Sorry to say, I think the last time we met was 60 some years ago!

I was so sorry to hear that Wilma had passed away. I was just thinking about her the other day. I served as a county auditor during the time Wilma served as Douglas County Auditor. She was a great mentor to me as I was getting started in my career as auditor, always willing to share good advice. She was a true leader in the SD County Officials Association. Hers was certainly a life well lived.
