Obituary of Bobby Hrdlicka
Bobby K. Hrdlicka was born June 5, 1936 to Theodore and Hazel (Schroder) Hrdlicka in Charles Mix County. He attended school through the 8th grade then worked on the family farm until going into the Navy in 1954 where he proudly served until 1958. He was united in marriage to Pauline Wojceiechowski in 1959 in Seattle, WA. Two sons were born, David and Daniel. In 1980, Bobby remarried to Carol Rolston, in Lakes Andes. Two daughters were born, April and Stacy.
Throughout his life, he worked at a service station in Seattle, WA before moving to Lake Andes in 1960 where he farmed with George Rezac, worked for the City of Lakes Andes, helped Cop, and worked for the Corp. of Engineers, drove truck, worked construction and for the Game, Fish, and Parks at Pickstown. For 18 years Bobby volunteered for the Lake Andes Fire Dept. He spent his days fishing, hunting, watching westerns on TV and hanging out with his friends at the local watering holes telling tall tales.
Those left to honor his memory are his children: David (Dory) Hrdlicka, April Hrdlicka, and Stacy (Brad) Irwin. Siblings: Roger Hrdlicka (special friend Barb), Richard Hrdlicka, Gloria (Kenny) Alley, and special friend, Marilyn Larson. Grandchildren: Becky (Alex) Petrik, Heather Hrdlicka; Danielle Dixson, Shawna Hrdlicka, Anthony Mathison, Alexander Mathison,12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was proceded in death by his parents, wives Pauline Hrdlicka, Carol Hrdlicka, son Daniel Hrdlicka, grandson Corey Irwin, brothers Lawrence and Karl Hrdlicka, sisters in law, Peggy Hrdlicka, Helen Hrdlicka and Betty Hrdlicka, nieces Shelly & Tina.
