Leona Slaba was my neighbor growing up on farms across the road from each other. I remember her and Tom's wedding reception at the home of her parents. Then as Mrs. Bruner she was my 8th grade teacher at Moore 8 country school. I babysat with "Little Tom" and Diane. For many years she was Leona again. Jump forward several years and she was Mrs. Bruner again as she taught our 4 children. She was a big influence and a great example in my life for as long as I can remember.
Her penmanship was as neat as she was.

Mrs. Bruner was the most amazing teacher I've ever known. Her love for learning and passing her knowledge to others was unlimited. And there was always a smile that could light up the room. She will be missed.
