Obituary of Lorraine Sudbeck

Lorraine F. Sudbeck, 87, went to her heavenly home Tuesday, May 16 at Avera St. Benedict Hospital in Parkston.  Funeral mass will be Friday, May 19 at 10:30 am at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Dimock. Visitation will be Thursday, May 18 from 5 to 7 pm with a 7:00 pm prayer service at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Dimock.  Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston.
 
Lorraine was born April 18, 1930 to Arthur and Theresa (Elsen) Thelen in Parkston, SD.  She attended Parkston High School and graduated in 1948.  Lorraine worked at Priebe and Sons in Parkston and later at the Parkston Gamble Store.  She was united in marriage to Luverne Sudbeck on August 29, 1950.  They made their home on the farm near Dimock where they farmed and raised their family.  She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Altar Society and enjoyed gardening and attending baseball games.
    
Grateful for having shared her life are her 7 children:   Susan (James) White of Nashville, TN; Thomas (Tami) Sudbeck of Mitchell, SD; James (Tammy) Sudbeck of Ethan; William (Gerry) Sudbeck of Parkston, SD; Michael (Deb) Sudbeck of Mt. Vernon, SD; Pamela (Duane) Stadlman of Parkston; and Douglas (Karen) Sudbeck of Dimock; 15 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
    
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Luverne; a daughter-in-law, Beverly Jean; and a sister, Marlys Freeman.
