As I went through stuff saved from years ago, from school etc, I ran across a few students who made me curious as to where they are now.
Kearney Senior High memoriam FB page came up and as I scrolled, I have realized more than one my classmates are now gone. I remember Tim from Junior or Senior high...trying to remember. But I don't forget a face and one does not forget Tim. He was, as mentioned, a gentle giant, with only kind words to say and a unique smile. I do remember you had to listen closely as his words were not always clear.
But I can see him and hear his voice in my head as I sit here and write...weird how I remember this about him. Sad that as we get older, we so lose touch with those around us. Trying to navigate life and never grasping the importance of staying connected.
It makes my heart sad that death took Tim too soon, as I now find out where he has been. One day, we will see all each other again. Rest in peace Tim, thank you for your beautiful smile and kindness.
