Sympathy to your family. Connie was a grande lady. She was totally devoted to her family and their numerous activities. She was an ardent and loyal supporter of her church, community and the public she and Jerry served in the Pharmacy business. I admired her tenacity in the face of her later years in accepting her limitations and dealing with the circumstances. Her steadfastness to remain in her home was a claim to fame. She was blessed to have Steve, Liz and girls to assist her during those years and she often relayed that gratefulness to me. We enjoyed the early days of our kids ball games even though we sometimes knew better than the coach on some of those plays but were never consulted. After the boys moved to college we liked to go to festivals or at least shopping. I will always cherish those memories. She will be my Forever Friend. We are thankful for having the opportunity to have known the Spawn Family.

I loved Connie. She always treated me like I belonged here. She made a concoction that killed Chiggers that noone ever replicated. She brightened my world. Condolences to her family. I will remember the family in my prayers.

My condolences to Connie's family. May the many memories you have help you find comfort.
Connie lived in the basement apartment of our home close to SDSU campus. It must have been her senior year as I think only seniors were allowed off campus then. Her roommates that year were Barb Baughmier (sp?), Beth McGlone, Bev Barnett, another Connie (?), Margaret Damm, Joyce (?) & Wanda. Can you imagine 8 young females sharing one bathroom, but always looking as if they hadn't had to share the two mirrors Dad had installed? I remember her as such a nice person to the point of my stopping to say hello to her years later at her & Jerry's newly purchased drug store on a trip home from Wyoming. The rent paid by those girls helped our family recover from a fire that had destroyed our home at that same address in April 1957. Although they were student renters, my parents, Bob & Lil, and I considered them part of our family while there, sharing occasional meals and many conversations. I'd gone from being an only child to having a basement full of big sisters, all of them good role models to me. I'm glad to have known Connie, even it it was for a short time and years ago.
