Obituary of Richard Dykeman

   Armour - Richard Dykeman, 77, died at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls on Monday, February 10, 2020. There will be no services at this time.

   Richard Dykeman was born on April 27, 1942 to Leonard and Martha (Sloane) Dykeman in East Elmhurst, NY.He graduated from high school in Queens, NY. After high school, he attended community colleg for avaition. He obtained his pilots license and flew as a commercial pilot, flying personal planes in New York and Haven, CT. He retired in 2007 and moved to Armour, SD. Richard enjoyed reading and watching golf and race car races on TV. He died on Monday, February 10, 2020 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls at the age of 77.

   He is survived by his wife, Eleanor of Armour, SD and 2 children, David Dykeman of Denver, CO and Amy Dykeman-Wilson and husband, Matthew of Bermingham, AL.

   He was preceded in death by his parents.
