Obituary of Richard Dean Woods

   Mitchell - Richard "Ricky" Dean Woods, 61, was taken from this world unexpectedly on December 16, 2019. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour with burial following in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Armour.

   Richard "Ricky" Dean Woods was born on June 6, 1958 to Delmar and Lila (Dvoracek) Woods in Pierre, SD. He lived at home with his mother and siblings until he was twelve years of age. He then moved into the Adjustment Training Center in Mitchell where he lived the majority of his life. Ricky loved to spend his time dancing and listening to music, especially Elvis Presley. He also enjoyed bowling, swimming, and being outdoors. He participated in the special Olympics for 7 years. He moved to Fireseteel Healthcare Center on July 25, 2019 where he was taken unexpectedly on Monday, December 16, 2019 at the age of 61.

   He is survived by his mother, Lila and husband, Ron Kellogg of Armour, 6 siblings, Rhonda Carson of Mitchell, Rod Woods and wife, Kim of Custer, Robbin Little of Gilchrist, OR, Ron Kellogg and wife, Jennifer of Armour, Tony Ferguson of Imperial, MO, and Craig Ferguson of Festus, MO, and many nieces and nephews.

   He was preceded in death by his father, Delmar, 2 sisters, Renae Woods and Tanya Kellogg, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
