Armour - Shirley Reinesch, 73, died at Armour Care and Rehabilitation Center in Armour on Thursday, January 26, 2017. Funeral service will be Monday, January 30, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Dimock with burial following in Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Dimock with a wake service at 7:30 PM. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour. Shirley Reinesch was born on June 6, 1943 to Urban and Rita (Hermann) Koster in Parkston, SD. She attended Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic School in Dimock before graduating from Parkston High School. She attended South Dakota Beauty Academy in Sioux Falls. After graduation, she worked at Sharon's Beauty Shop in Parkston. Shirley married James Reinesch on August 14, 1963. The couple moved to a farm near White Lake and farmed before moving to Mitchell. Shirley worked for DWU in the food service department, Brig Steakhouse, and with housekeeping with the Methodist Hospital in Mitchell until poor health forced her to stop working. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell. Shirley had a strong faith and was a prayer warrior. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She moved to Golden Living Center in Armour in 2010. She died at Armour Care and Rehabilitation Center in Armour on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the age of 73. She is survived by 4 children: Sandy (Steve) Lau of Armour, SD; Patty (Kelly) Viereck of Chamberlain, SD; Curtis Reinesch of Omaha, NE; and Kevin (Sandra) Reinesch of Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren: Emily (Jason) Von Eye; Ryan (Tasha) Lau; Courtney Lau; Trevor Lau; Neil Viereck; Chris Viereck; Jessica Viereck; Jack Reinesch; and Grace Reinesch; 4 great-grandchildren: Haylie, Kelsey, and David Voneye and Finley Viereck; brother: Fr. Ken Koster of Kranzburg, SD; and 2 sisters: Sharon Brech of Dimock, SD and Carol Gerlach of Armour, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law, James Brech, and nephew, Shawn Gerlach.
