Obituary of Taylor Ann Thuringer

Parkston - Taylor Ann Thuringer, 15, went to her heavenly home Thursday, August 15 near Parkston. Funeral service will be Monday, August 19 at 10:30 am at the Parkston National Guard Armory in Parkston. Visitation will be Sunday, August 18 from 5 to 7 pm with a 7:00 pm prayer service at the Parkston National Guard Armory. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston.

Taylor was born December 16, 2003 to Scott and Ann (Ward) Thuringer in Mitchell, SD. She attended school in Parkston and was going into her Freshman year. She had a passion for life and was an active member of her class, church and school. In school, she participated in volleyball, basketball, band and FCCLA. During the summer, she kept busy by spending time with friends and family, especially her sister, Mya, camping, listening to music and participating in swimteam and softball. She was an active member of the Parkston Congregational Church where she participated in CYU and WOW. Taylor’s zest for life, infectious smile and bubbly personality will be missed by all who knew her.

Grateful for having shared her life are her parents, Scott and Ann Thuringer of Parkston; 2 siblings, Mya and Zach Thuringer of Parkston; grandparents: Connie Thuringer of Parkston and Greg and Bobbi Ward of Iroquois, SD; an aunt, Amy (Thad) Bosma and their children, Lilly and Madison, of Lake Park, IA; an uncle, Nick Ward and his children, Bella and Hudson, of Iroquois; and many other friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Francis "Dub" Thuringer.

Memorials would be preferred in lieu of flowers.
