Obituary of Douglas Bigge

   Parkston - Douglas Bigge, 53, died at Sioux Vocational Services/Lifescape in Sioux Falls, SD on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston with visitation an hour prior. Burial will follow the service at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Parkston.

   Douglas Bigge was born on September 11, 1964 to Bernard and Theresa (Kummer) Bigge in Parkston, SD. He grew up on the family farm near Parkston until moving to Sioux Vocational Services/Lifescape when he was 18. He lived there until the time of his death. Douglas loved listening to Minnesota Twins baseball and Minnesota Vikings football games with headphones as he was visually impaired. He also enjoyed motorcycles and racecars, visiting dogs at the dog farm, and spending time at his mother's home. He died on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Sioux Vocational Services/Lifescape in Sioux Falls at the age of 53.

   He is survived by his mother, Theresa, 3 brothers, Richard (Renae) Bigge of Parkston, SD, Randall Bigge of Sioux Falls, SD, and Darren (Deb) Bigge of Parkston, SD, nieces and nephews, Ryan Bigge of Mitchell, SD Rachel (Chase) Hirt of Harrisburg, SD, Katherine Rust of Omaha, NE, and Brooke, TJ, and Wes Bigge of Parkston, SD, uncles, Anthony (Kaye) Kummer of Mitchell, SD, Duane (Dianna) Kummer of Mitchell, SD, Louis Kummer of Omaha, NE, and Bill Bigge of Chamberlain, SD, aunts, Dorothy (Bill) Osak of Visalia, CA, Marlene Olson of North Carolina, Joanne (Denny) Hegg of Mitchell, SD, Carol (Oren, Jr.) Long of Omaha, NE, and Catherine Grosz of Wisconsin, and many other relatives and friends.

   He was preceded in death by his father, sister, Kathryn, and brother, Daniel.
