Obituary of Karen Corkle

   Armour - Karen Corkle, 70, died in Corsica on Friday, July 20, 2018. Memorial service will be Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour.

   Karen Corkle was born on July 30, 1947 to Richard "Buss" and Evelyn (Kelly) Wright in Alliance, NE. She attended school at St. Mary's Catholic Church in O'Neill, NE. She worked as a CNA in many nursing homes in Nebraska. After retiring, she continued donating her time by helping the elderly. She greatly appreciated anyone who served in the armed forces and law enforcement, especially her family which included her son, Thomas serving in the U.S. Army, her daughter, Katherine, serving in the U.S. Air Force, her grandson, Christopher, serving in the U. S. Army, and her son, James with corrections. She enjoyed wildlife and animals of all kinds and had a special love for dogs, wolves and would always take time to help an injured animal. She also enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, motorcycles, native American artwork, and spending time with her family. Karen passed on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the age of 70.

   She is survived by her children, Thomas Papke of Austin, TX, Katherine Papke of Jacksonville, FL, Amy Berry of Sioux Falls, SD, and James (Danielle) Corkle of Armour, SD, brother, Junior Wright of Miltonvale, KS, sister, Linda (Mel) Christensen of Lake Andes, SD, grandchildren, Amber Moore, Matthew Harbourt, Alyssa Papke, Tamara Papke, Candice Papke, Sarah Papke, Amanda Holter, Christopher King, Sheyla Myers, Jordon Mathiason, Jayden Moran, Brooklyn Berry, and Ryley Berry, and many great-grandchildren.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, Buss and Evelyn Wright, and step-father, Pete Peterson.
